Q-A

1.Q: Who can join?

A: New comers who were born outside of Canada, and they are creative in any way.

2.Q: What do you mean a creative person in any way?

A: Are you or have you been a painter, a singer, a dancer, a musician, a performer artist, an artisan chef?  Or you can be a craft person: jewelry maker, knitter, tailor, crochet maker, broidery, miniaturist, or a person that in your own country know how to work traditional crafts and arts that are not familiar in Canada like: making rugs and tiles and carpentry or working on the brass, silver, gold in a traditional way in your country. Are you some one who worked with wood and seashells and stones to make a designated table, tabloid or any kind of glass work? Are you working or you worked in graphics designing, textile art, installation, photography, poetry, narrative arts and storytelling, writing, cinema, theatre, and what is coming to your mind as art and creativity.

3.Q:What exactly you want to do with this society?

A: We want to create a new society for first generation immigrants from all over the world. When we come to Canada, you are very welcome if you are an accountant or engineer, but what about an artist? We found it very difficult to find a job as a foreigner-born, grown up artist who English is their second language in BC. That does mean we are not creative, or we don't have enough knowledge just because we don't speak English as our first language? We don't think so! We are a group of knowledgably educated artists who want to be a voice for the other artists like themselves.
